We had another yummy Sunday! The kids really like picking out a menu and helping with the prep and cooking. Madyson did most of the menu making this week.

Oh yeah, manic mom, a blog I read daily was having a contest. She quit posting until she recieved  100 comments telling her something interesting about yourself. I was comment number 99, and I'm a runner up (the winner hasn't been picked yet)....I never win anything, LOL!. Anyway, the comments were really interesting, they range from serious to hysterical.

Butter!

The other day I was reading one of my favorite blogs and saw this post about making butter. Well this is right up our alley here. Linda was nice to share her butter making "recipe", and I my daughter and I did some internet research and today we made butter. This was really fun....we didn't shake ours, we did it with the mixer. My daughter said she is going to do this every week, and she needs a special butter making apron, and she'll take some to the neighbors, and can she take some to her teacher, and do you think Nana would like some, and.......    She was really excited about this. Oh yeah, she's going to have toast with butter before school tomorrow, LOL! So here's a picture of the first batch of MadyMoo Butter.

What's for dinner?

Well, my crafting didn't go quite as well as I had hoped, but I got a couple things made. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow.
Let's talk food....on Thursday's we always have spaghetti. I don't know how it got started, but it's just something I do and it usually goes the same way every week.

4:30-I start making the sauce. I use my grandma's wooden spoon, and wear the apron she made me.

5:00- Youngest child comes in and declares that she's starving and needs a snack. I give her a carrot.

5:15-Middle child comes in and asks if she can make a salad to go with dinner. I always say yes...salad making is not one of my favorite things.

6:10- My son get's home from karate and asks "What's for dinner?" I say "It's Thursday!" and then he says "Taco's?"  I swear this happens every Thursday.

6:30- Hubby gets home and says "the house smells fantastic, did you make sauce?"

8:00-I go to the laundry room and spray shout on everyone's shirts. I really think I'm going to make some spaghetti bibs for everyone.
